Cade Chaos Grimoire

Stupid tank transfers that should go smoothly.
Exactly why I hesitated to do much of anything with this tank from move to move. Now that it's in a permanent spot though.....

What was your source for both phyto and pods? That was my fail every time. Besides the equipment part
I used Poseidon’s pod and phyto cultures.

Okay, I'm not really seeing any tiny aiptasia in the tank, just the big monsters.... so maybe the molly miller is eating the small ones?

I really need to break down and start poisoning them but I have so many cuts all over my hands ALL THE TIME I've been putting it off for way too long and it's getting seriously out of hand.

One piece broke quite a bit, I'll have to put it back together. The other just has a tiny piece that broke.

Overall? Pleased.

filefish ?
Trying another cow & a tilefish, now that I'm getting a massive pod order in and starting culturing next week I'm hopeful I'll do better this time.

Ugh what a day.

Anyway, I ordered some corals on Sunday. I ordered some culturing stuff last night. I ordered some fish today.

None of the corals or fish should be here until next week.

Skeletor got me up at 6am :upside-down-face:

I have an 11am appt in town that should be quick, then we have a 230 vet appt an hour away because he has some weird thing on - you guessed it - his foot. It's always his feet. Probably needs some anti-inflammatories to pull down the swelling and to have it possibly aspirated or biopsied depending on what it is.

On the tank list today: glue the broken branch rock - try to figure out where it'll go in the tank.
Aiptasia hunt? :thinking-face:

Trying to hunt down photos of the living things I bought so I can share.

Incoming over the next few weeks.

Mandarin will long term stay in this tank, the others will get moved to the big tank once it is *in existence*

All corals except the tube anemone and the chalice will stay in this tank.

I have an appointment at 11 too. It's close to the way overpriced lfs, but I'm gonna go look.
Since I moved counties to have land, we really have no LFS unless I drive back to the Tampa area or over to the Orlando area. Most of them are overpriced at this point.... I have pretty much given up on buying in person.

Here a frag of gsp (quarter size) is 35.00 at the cheap store.

I have a plank in a box for the big tank. I didn't want to set it up on this tank because there's no cut out on the lid for it and it'll be an ordeal to get it going.

In the meantime... I got this cheap autofeeder on amazon that I can schedule for a ton of times a day:

It has feets, and can dump right over the screen, the pellets I use fit through. Making things a lot easier for me.... I also found the old feeding ring I used to use in my freshwater tank. I need to set that up today so the food doesn't flow straight down the return.

Same. I just can't do that very often.
agreed
or at all ,even online only 20$ a head for a duncan ,still overpriced IMO...
agreed

At this point if I'm buying a duncan it better be a full happy colony with the way things get priced. I refuse to pay more than $5 for a gsp frag - which, to be honest, I would love some gsp for this tank - maybe it'll choke out the aiptasia :face-with-tears-of-joy:
