Will you link the one you got? These have two doors - 1 for filling and one for feeding. The filling isn't as easy as taking the barrel off and loading but it keeps me from having to open and close the feed hatch and readjusting each time I fill it.
It's the same price as the one you posted though so yours may be easier to use for pellets. I feed one pellet feeder and one flake feeder so I have to have at least one of these anyways.
I believe that’s what I have… they def eat aiptasia… problem is they went after the biggest one first which was like a good silver dollar size, 2 inches or so.. now they’re full! Haha.. I’ve only seen 2 smaller ones gone since but still have a rock with a ton of them! RrrrI know they call all the Lysmata clan “Peppermint shrimp” but most people think of L. Wurdemanni when they think of peppermint shrimp and don’t know what species they really have.
They say that some Duskies get the taste for Aiptasia.I can't do either in this tank currently
The dusky wrasse and the marine betta eat them. Wrasse eats the nudis, betta eats the shrimp - even huge ones.
I'm hoping I can get the big ones murdered. There aren't a ton of small ones. I think the itty bitty Molly Miller is eating the small ones.
Peppermint ShrimpReal name?File fish?
I did. Two posts prior. Will you link the one you got?
Nudis for the little ones. Mine clear from one side of the tank. Smart. They know another "crop" will be there when they make it back around.I believe that’s what I have… they def eat aiptasia… problem is they went after the biggest one first which was like a good silver dollar size, 2 inches or so.. now they’re full! Yeahhhhhh I might need one again myselfI have a Melanurus and a Leucoxanthus wrasse - neither of them enjoy Aiptasia. I sold my Filefish and now I need him back.
I had 6 or 7 Aips, blasted them with kalk paste (I mean buried completely, enough to raise my alk in the 125...), and now I have 300...Yeahhhhhh I might need one again myself
Same…… I quit messing with them and they quit spreading for the most part… natural predication seems like the best course.I had 6 or 7 Aips, blasted them with kalk paste (I mean buried completely, enough to raise my alk in the 125...), and now I have 300...
I tried ignoring them. That's how we got into this boatSame…… I quit messing with them and they quit spreading for the most part… natural predication seems like the best course.
