Work's been chaos, again.

Something happened to the driver, our 7am Thursday delivery is now expected today.... Saturday. No idea what time.

Then we get another one tomorrow :upside-down-face:

On the plus side, we got all our resets done for April already because of the extra time.

Off tomorrow, convinced the husband we don't need to play "drive all over the state to see family" on Easter. We're going to his brothers for brunch and that's it.

I want to make a chocolate raspberry bavarian torte tonight....
Sounds delicious!

Genoise part cooling.

Raspberry puree part cooling.

I'm deeply regretting this after a 10 hr work day with over 16k steps and tripling my activity goal for the day. Taking a step is making a spot on my back spasm. Good things I have prescription strength anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxers.

Had to go get my hand glued, dominant hand - so all in-tank endeavors are on hold temporarily...

Took this weekend off to build a shed, not sure I'll be much help.

Sliced My knuckle open trying to wedge some things apart. Bone was showing... But there was no indication of nerve or tendon damage. So hooray for that

Ouch! Hope it heals quickly :face-with-head-bandage:

Wowza. Glad there is likely no nerve or tendon damage. :/

Went to work, had the vet clean it for me and was gonna have her glue it but she said she saw bone so I should probably see a human Dr and get antibiotics & they might want to see how bad it actually is so she probably shouldn't glue it.

Left work, went to walk in.

Dr: they said you cut yourself, you seem pretty calm, I see you wrapped it, did you cut your palm or something?

Me: nah it's my knuckle, figured probably should get antibiotics or something especially since it appeared to be a full thickness laceration... I had tetanus shot Aug 22 so we're good there.

Her: okay good on tetanus, let's unwrap....

Oh My God Wow GIF

holy cow that's clean, you cleaned that really well? How is it so clean?

Me: oh the vet scrubbed it

Me: oh I work in a pet store

Her: oooooohhhhhh. Wait, scrubbed?

Me: yeah, to make sure it was clean?

Is there numbness/tingling.... Can you fully extend and curl your fingers.

Me: no, no, yes and yes. There's just a dull throbbing there that recently started, wasn't a problem then. Plus vet chemicals are generally a bit more potent since their patients don't typically sit still.

Her: Fair..... And yes, I see bone. Sutures or glue? I'd trust sutures more but if you're adverse I feel comfortable letting you go with just glue.

So anyway, that's my fun story about sending the doctor on a rollercoaster of emotions.

Reminds me of the time I went to have my lovely locks cut and almost made the hair cutter/salonist/hair stylist/whatever they're called when they work at Great Clips...

Can't put my hand in the tank.... but I CAN start cold stratifying seeds that need it.

Chaos planting flowers around the property soon.

I'm going to order a bunch of wildflower seeds cordon off a 3rd of my backyard and go nuts. Neighbors are really going to love me.
