I'm rehoming a couple fish when I do the transition and want to add a new wrasse once everyone is settled, but I'm torn between what species... Thinking one of the Halichoeres or Macropharyngodon

I have a huge weakness for Macropharyngodon. Halichoeres can be aggressive. Yellow and radiant(Iridis) and one more I can’t think of. Is mellow for that species. @Erin O what Halichoeres did you want? That’s the other one that’s more mellow.

There are 2 in the tank currently, a blue streak cleaner & a canary. Current tank is 90g display, new will be 114g. If that data is needed to decide best course of action.

If the canary is a yellow (chrysus) add the other Halichoeres at same time. More aggressive Halichoeres might be a problem. I listed a few good matches above.

One last thing. If you go for a leopard or 10 make sure they eat prepared food that you feed. Also they can be poor shippers.

Was considering a dusky for the halichoeres, or another that is escaping me at the moment.

And yes about 10 leopards lol, one of each to be safe. I've heard they ship poorly, I figured for that I'd watch locally instead of risking shipping. Sad my favorite fish lfs closed.

Also saw a beautiful black and white wrasse circling the internet recently that doesn't appear to be available anywhere. Anampses neoguinaicus

My favorite fish? In general? That's tough... probably the Marine betta, I upgraded from the 20 specifically to get this guy and my LFS hunted for him for me for *months* and I have zero regrets. He's beautiful & has tons of personality - even if it borders on stalker half the time.

They're doing great, they all pretty much stayed in place except the green one, he went on a walk to the back side of the rock. Beautiful bubble!

I love the deep sea fish, and I have a soft spot for all the big ugly grouper around here.

Funny you mention groupers. At work I’m around a bunch of fisherman and we were talking about a huge grouper tank.
