This wasn't even the biggest one they had listed. I'm so excited to watch it grow out. A few polyps on my other colonies are getting to be a decent size, but nowhere near the vivida.

So it looks like due to the delay in them getting it out the door, it won't arrive to the local terminal until Friday, then they'll call me to schedule actual delivery. The problem is: regional is supposed to be in town *some time* that following week, so scheduling delivery is going to be a real pita if our DL doesn't start talking soon. It very well may have to sit locally for a week. Hoping maybe it starts moving a little faster but I doubt it will.

I'm pretty sure this blasto is even bigger today.

The one polyp you can really see staring at you in the light purple colony up top is nearly half dollar size.

I wish I could adequately show you what a monster this guy is, it's insane.

Also, someone please remind me it's a bad idea to buy new fish right now when I have a tank transfer coming up and that I should wait until after.

looking good... :)
but... bet i'm 25 min late on reminding you not to buy a fish..:p

90g mixed reef

Chemical/feed list:

On doser daily:
Tropic Marin All For Reef
Easyreefs Easysps
Easyreefs Easybooster

Manually dosed:
Korallen-Zucht Amino Acids daily

Supplemental foods for corals 1-2x a week, usually:
Coral frenzy target fed
Benereef target fed

Frozen for both, 1x a week typically:
LRS

Dry Fish foods:
autofeeder 2x a day Omega One marine flakes and kelp flakes (looking to replace - taking recommendations)
Easyreefs masstick 2-3x a week (once I run out of powder I'll be switching to easymasstick)

On order: Nyos goldpods for corals/fish supplemental feeding

Looking for a good soft pelleted food to add to the auto feeder, almost out of the flakes and the fish don't like the Omega One brand pellet. Fish did NOT like PE either, thinking they don't like the hard?

Considering a mixture Nyos soft pellets right now - does anyone have any feedback on these for me??
If u haven't considering it yet, u should look into tdo chroma boost for a great pellet food. Your fish / inverts will love it and u can even feed it to your lps. Many different sizes available

Oof man that's an outdated quote lol

I actually have chromaboost sitting in a cart pending still, my hold up was deciding on a size. I ended up giving the cobalt aquatics marine pellets a shot and the fish go crazy for it.

It took me like 2 hours to do the pico transfer, now I'm getting worried about the big tank. Granted, I spent a lot of time meticulously picking off every fragment of bubble algae I could find... but still.

just be done before TWD is on.;)

Went on another manual aiptasia hunt today, nuked about 75% of what I could find (found the other 25% after but didn't feel like digging the stuff out again). Trying F- aiptasia this round. We'll seeeeee.... Interestingly enough, all of them are exactly where they've always been, I'm wondering if my filefish just kept them scared and hidden, didn't actually get rid of them.

Also did a little plug masking with rubble rock today. Of course, it's white - but I figure it'll blend in soon enough. Not done yet.

Here's a FTS.

Just ordered the upgrade kit for my lights so that I can get that done when everything is taken apart in the next couple weeks. I do still want to get a couple lumen bars once official light mounting is ready to go, but for a little while it'll be on the BOT system which cannot handle the extra weight. I've been wanting to adjust my lighting for a bit, but the remote is SUCH a hassle. From my understanding, the app makes it a million times easier to work with.

I love these lights. Don't get me wrong. I have them set up and running really well on the tank, but I want to tweak them and I know I'll be better about going slow and changing back if needed if I can do it more easily. The remote is ridiculous to deal with but I haven't touched it since I set it up when I got the tank, aside from today to put it on "daylight" mode to take a photo because I remembered that exists. I am a very impatient person, so going through channel by channel - hour by hour is NOT something I'm good with.

To add: getting the lumens to an extra pop of color overall that I know I won't get from just playing with channel settings

Is any of this necessary? Absolutely not.
