Yeah, that's what I've heard from a ton of people. I'm a little cautious about the whole being awake while they poke around in my eyes part of it.
The worst part of it is

hahahahaha, oddly enough it takes a lot for a smell to hit me wrong. I have a thing about them putting their fingers in my eyes though. I can't even watch myself put my contacts in - they always tried to make me use a mirror and to this day I cannot.
I was awake when they reattached my cornea. No fingers, just sterile sharp metal implements.

I've come across a few that looked like dead ringers and marked as such but as soon as the flow turned off, nothing changed.
