something like that. They’ve changed for the worse since COVID hit. Everything over priced. Dead or dying livestock in the display tanks. No holding of anything for anyone etc

Well.
Today was absolutely garbage.
But! These 2 are hanging out in an acclimation box in the tank. There's also a tiny blue green chromis who I let into the tank without the box.
Taking a risk with my current pair but so far no one has even glanced at the box. Not even any of my wrasse.
Going to leave them in the box a couple days minimum.

Mutants are doing well btw. Only one fish in the tank has paid any attention to the box so far, one of the yellowtail blue damsels (of course). They desperately want out.
Husband is on tank observation duty while I'm at work. I don't want to release them until I'm confident the others have at least noticed them.
It's very weird to me that the Canary, melanurus, & lantern haven't been up in their business. They're the usual greeting committee.

Accidentally let the mutant's out
One of the blue damsels is furious. One of the existing clowns chased off the blue damsel.
Existing clowns are curious, but not threatened - yet.
Been about 45 min and that's all I have to report, so not too bad.

Doing well this morning. Blue damsel has given up on them.
Female clown is still showing a little more interest than I'm fully comfortable with regarding one of them. For the most part they're hanging out over by the Solomon tree, she just swims over to investigate the one periodically, but there's no real aggression so I'm not 100% concerned.
Old clowns will be in their little cave area, new clowns will be up by the tree, big lady will swim at them full force and then stop abruptly right as she reaches them and just kind of stare for a second and then go back to her burrow. Rinse and repeat.

New pair are about half their size. So far so good, really wanted to keep them in the iso box longer but I accidentally knocked it open moving something in the tank and they darted out *straight into* the existing clowns nesting area

Got an in stock notification alert for China wrasse from live aquaria....
Couple problems with this. One my next day off is Friday so I wouldn't be home to receive deliveries. Two I'm supposed to be saving money for closing, not spending it on fish or corals. Three I'm trying not to order from them because they've gotten pretty sketchy. Four they're the only place that has had them available in ages. And no one local has been able to get them for me.
What do I do.

That's why I keep trying to get the local shops to pull them in. Apparently for every 5 they get shipped only one survives and most of the time doesn't make it through qt.
I won't even glance at it again until Thursday, and if they're still available then that is when I will go through panic mode on what to do lol

Skip it!! I won’t deal with LA as I don’t like big companies. It’s not worth coming so far and destroy your animals for one fish. My lfs gets then frequent so not sure why they are harder to find.

I know, I finally got out of my death credit cycle with them, I really don't want to start it up again. Apparently I still had alerts set up though.
Please let me know if you see anyone reputable with them!
Only one of my LFS will bring them in and they're the ones having issues with the way they ship.

I'm never home or around when the new feeder feeds, that was a lot of fun to watch. Definitely love how active it's made my Marine Betta.
All the fish are doing really well. New clowns haven't figured out their own space yet but the old clowns aren't even addressing them today. I think we're in the clear!
