Cade Chaos Grimoire

That's one time... maybe even 2... careful not to get to 3 times thinking about it
Ugh but it'll walk all over the place. I'm not sure I even have a good open spot for one to be honest

Happy 5 yr wedding anniversary to us!

Spent the morning mixing up strontium to correct the tank.

Headed to brunch soon, then the grocery store to buy some white chocolate so I can make matcha white chocolate brownies.

I think today is the day I fix the brackets to get the ATO lid on. We'll see.

We used to always go to Ren fest on/around our anniversary - then the pandemic happened and they moved sites & the new location sucks in comparison and isn't worth the drive. When we get in the new house it'll only be about 30min away though so we'll start going again.

Here's a fun photo from a few years ago, I *can* pass as a human occasionally. Who knew.
Sorry it's so late but congrats on the five years

No luck finding a CBB today. He does have some that are supposed to be coming in this week so he said check back in 2 weeks once they finish quarantine treatment.

Got to watch a reef delete in action which was pretty cool. That just arrived to their shop today so this is the first he's tested it.

Talked to him about China wrasse, he said he will not order them if he can help it. Same story the other shop gave me: they do not ship well, and do not live long once they do ship. He said you're better off finding one in an existing tank that someone is trying to break down. Most of them don't make it past a year and you're just throwing your money away.

Also, I've decided my lobo is going up for trade. It's surviving, but not thriving. It hates anything being nearby, I can't seem to find the ideal spot for it.

If I lived close I would hit you up for a trade.

I've bounced it all over the tank. It's happiest near the cynarina - but they don't like it around, and I like them more than it. lol

They like lower par and lower flow and they like space

yeah, those areas are unfortunately consumed by corals i like more that don't have attitude with roommates

I think the lfs are a little Extreme how fragile China wrasse are. I would say they are more middle of the road fragile wise. In the end it’s best to find lfs or vendor that understands wrasse so you get one healthy and strong. In your case I would try to go mail order from a place that conditions/qt’s and holds them for a few weeks. More sterile environment the better.

Yeah that's what I settled on. Just watching for options now.

I... I might be getting one on Wednesday. Coincidentally found one single one available from salty, whom I've ordered fish from previously with success (they're where I got my dusky). I was checking to order nudis for my other micro tank and saw it.

Also ordered some corals from someone else today, coordinating shipping was obnoxious, those will come later this month.

Spent the day surveying the tank and plotting out some rearrangements. Lobo fluffed up a little from the one move I made already, we'll see if it lasts. I'd prefer to have it nice and fluffy before a trade/sale if at all possible.

Elegance has been grumpy since the ruby xenia moved away from it, I think the move affected either light or flow, potentially both - trying to scope out some changes for it that might be more pleasant. I would prefer not to lose this guy.

I'm going to be putting my sandbed rock frag holder back in, and moving the blasto/acan/zoas that are in the left wall magnet rock rack to that. New smaller magnet rock rack coming in to put the gorg & gonis in, and moving the bigger magnet rock rack to the back wall to add some sticks. I'm honestly a bit nervous about that, though I have the one acro in the center that always has polyps out and only seems to not grow because my green hairy frilly mushroom thing has planted itself on the acro's base..... I have a few others that were doing great, until the stunner shadowed them
