I wonder anyone has the strange sized gasket fittings for the CADlight tank (the ones for emergency drain and return).
Mine has a leaking problem and I glued it but no help. I wonder I can get another one to redo the job.

Hi xjiang I have the same cadlight 70g no issue with the return or emergency BUT what i would do is retrofit thos mm to standard, in my case i had an issue with the sump drain and rather to fight the issue i just move to standard sizing.. also at some point anyways you will want t change return pump and go with manifolds or add a check valve in the return line and it will all be easier if you are in standard pipes... you could go here and get the adapter (you may find them somewhere else too but this is easy) http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/metric-to-standard-pvc-adapters.html and add an adapter spigot which may find at your closest homedepot or just get it from them too

For sample this is what I did there and added unions for easy removal or further changes... Also added a cepex valve instead of the original one, see my return I'm using a metal clamp I hate it but I can't find a ratchet plastic clamp in mm so I will do what I just told you re-pipe in standard and forget about it

Thanks for the information! It is very helpful! These fittings are driving me nuts! First I need to solve the leakage issue. Since I glued the fitting I cannot remove it. I may need to switch it with the emergency drain and gets a metal clamp. Does your clamp rusting ?

the one on the top no but the one inside the sump it does i change it every 3 months (hence why i want to make the switch...) you can switch one and another emergency/return in the mean time. also have in mind when you buy the adapter make sure you pick the right one, i think im going to remove the spigot/coupling you have glued right now with a heater or a airblower and some pliers (thats what i did to remove the original one i have replaced) and use it to my advantage. the cadlight does come with 2 ratchet clamps but I used it for my top return where is attached to my locline ( it's a very tight space on the overflow if one of those hoses pop i have no way to get to that space quickly so i used them on the overflow ) by the way same thing with the locline it's metric so im going to replace the whole return for standard including hoses so i can replace my locline and split it because i get the sand moving in one spot due to pressure in one locline return

yes, dont fight it lol i tried for the longest and then i gave up and realized that is easy to change them even if it takes reworking it but at the end i believe it's easier

Thanks again! Seems I need to get some measure first :-)
