Hey guys,

I'm here to introduce my 40 gallon Cadlights fish tank. It has been up for roughly four months now. This isn't my first tank as I have had many before but had to downsize because I went to school. Now that I'm back, I'm getting back into the hobby and thus far, it has been great. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures. Feel free to ask any questions!

Great job and pics! Welcome to R2R!

That is going to be crazy in like 6 months when those frags are all encrusted and growing like maniacs. Beautiful!

I love your aquascape. The tank looks great!!!

Thank you everybody for the wonderful compliments. I am aware that this system will outgrow itself. I already have a 36x24x20 three side starphire outside and will be transferring everything to the tank in about a month or so. For those who are curious about the rock work, I did everything outside of my tank by drilling holes and using ceramic rods. You'd be really surprised at how my tank looked when I first started it four months ago. Here are some progression shots:

This one was taken about two weeks ago

As far as my equipment goes, here it is:

Cadlights 40g 24x20x20
Cadlights sump
Mag 9.5 return (I like flow)
Bubble Magus NAC 3
Bubble Magus T01 3 part doser (currently dosing BRS 2 part and mag by hand)
Tunze Osmolator 3155
BRS reactor with gfo/carbon
JBJ 1/10hp chiller
Aquacontroller Jr (SUPER old school)
MP10 W ES
Hydor 1050 running 3 minutes on, 7 off
250 watt DE Phoenix 14k fired by VUE technology ballast

As far as live stock, there are a pair of snowflakes, mystery wrasse, some type of pesudochromis, and a male lyretail anthias. I'll be adding three females into the new tank as well as a couple of more wrasses once I get the upgrade going.

Haven't done much with my tank. Corals have been getting good growth though. Should be upgrading within the next month. Bought a 10 eye mummy chalice for $40, steal of the month for me. Enjoy.
