Im looking at upgrading to the cadlights aquariums. I was curious if this is a good/bad idea? Whats the quality of the tank? Im looking at the 70G artisan one. I plan to just get the tank, I have everything else, and ill be building a stand for it.. Thanks in advanced.

you get what yo pay for. i got one of the first cadlights 39g pro when it first came out (which was a few years ago). I've looked around and it seems that they still have the same problems as they did before. tanks come in broken and have to wait for them to reship it, theres a long delay from when they say they will ship out the tank, and sometimes customer service just disappears when a problem occurs.

the quality of their tanks aren't bad, but i think it depends on your luck. some people get seams that are really nice and some get seams where they are scared to put water in the tank. from what i understand so many people had complaints that oceanreeflections has discontinued to carry Cadlights.

Proceed with caution.

Only thing that kept me from buying a tank from them was the bad feedback out there... and it's not hard to find.

What are some other custom tank manufactures, Miracles, Reef Savvy,... who else?

i have a reef savvy cube 49g and is perfect and very elegant, compear to a car its like a ferrary.

I put in a quote to reef savvy about a month ago.. 2 weeks later, I get a message saying, did we ever get your quote to you, I said no, 2 more weeks went by and i still have nothing so I sent them a message saying im taking my business elsewhere.

Did you ever end up going with the Cadlights tank? Considering picking up the 70g myself, fortunately I can go right to the factory and look at it before I take it home.

i think im going with deep sea aquatics 105 gallon 48 x 24 x 21 tall. its cheaper then the cadlights 70 gallon and better customer service lol. Its not starfire, but i read starfire isnt necessary on a 3/8th thick glass

I think you'll still notice a big difference, I know I did.
