I just purchased a 75 gallon tank/stand/canopy set and brought it home today. Did all the plumbing with the help of a good friend.


This is will mostly a zoa garden...with the occasional LPS/SPS.


All equipment i got so far is the Sicce Pump Syncra 5. Planning on getting the Bubble Magus Curve 5 skimmer and AI Vega or RapidLed's Onyx Leds

Any opinions if i should start with dry rock or live rock?

Dry rock with little bit of live rock to seed it. Cheaper, cleaner and you won't have to worry about any unwanted hitch hikers. There are some rock builders from facebook post but they scape for you looks like.

Wow awesome! That sump is killer!

Having a little problem...my pump is not noisy but it has a very loud vibration! I am using a sicce syncra 5.0 (1,400gph). My overflow is rated to 700gph so i adjusted the pump and the ball valve to get the right flow.

Thinking of changing the pump...any recommendations? It has to be internal and quiet!

Its not touching anything but the sump floor...will try to change from the rubber feet to the suction cups feet...
