Hey everyone, had some trouble lately losing some acros, here is some things that happened

1-added remote deep sand bed with 40lbs aragalive sand(think i had a mini cycle, algae bloom after adding)
2-changed calcium reactor media and had a few alk swings dialing it in
3-had some spikes in phos from over feeding,i run a brs reactor with gfo
4-i make 20 gal water changes once a week(ro water) 120 gal tank

ok i just tested cal and its 500,alk9.8(hanna meter),phos .02(hanna meter) no3 0-1 ph 8.1 mag1320 temp 78(reefkeeper lite)

i have had reeftanks for 10 years and this puzzles me,it all started when i put the remote sand bed in.Any advice is welcome
i dip everything when i get it,i checked for pests
i know the alk bouncing did some damage but its been stable for about 2weeks,i was thinking about unplugging my reactor and letting the cal come down and dose alk for a few days thanks in advance

might have "purified" the water a little to much. light started to penetrate better and caused the start of the decline. the parameters seem in line and a cal of 500 wouldnt do that. even the swings are hard pressed to knock most sps out unless you were dipping below 6 and above 12. what else do you dose. check for stray voltage. this time of year thats a big problem. sps seem to be sensitive to this.

I didnt rinse the sand as it was aragalive,i only add aminos once a week, thanks whats the best way to check stray voltage
