Hey reefers trying to get my levels where they need to be. First off manually dosing. Cal is at 460 meg is at 1200 and alk at 7.7. So let me state that my cal was at 395 and I was dosing to get it up but then my Meg dropped from 1295 to 1200 is that normal for that to drop when raising cal?

No, its probably just a testing error.
MG is usually consumed in lower amounts than either ALK or CA, so if those aren't being consumed that fast, then neither is MG.

No, that is test error, unless you lowered the salinity.

Magnesium (Mg) cannot decline more than 1-2 ppm per day, and that is at high alk and calcium demand.

What salt are you using and what livestock do you have in the tank?
