Just to be clear, and assuming you literally believe what ESV claims, it is not supplying trace elements to offset any demand in the aquarium. It only supplies enough to keep concentrations from dropping when you maintain the salinity (salinity rises using a two part, and when correcting it back to normal, the concentration of everything drops; the trace elements added in B-ionic only counteract this effect, not countering any consumption by organisms into tissues).
