Well my idiot self turned my calcium dozer from Auto to ON. I was at 420 CALC and now I'm estimating I'm at 1000 to 1500ppm. Did a 10% water change. Tank is 220gal. Going to do 10% water changes everyday until I get it down to 500 or so. Corals are all closed up and stressed. Any advice lemme know. ALK is stable unchanged.

Many water changescc be ahead and don’t make them frequent

I did an overdose of calcium I'm at 800ppm. I did a 10% water change and will do another tonight. How did your overdoes end up?

Well i started out at 1,500 and did daily 10% waterchanges for 7 days or so then a 20% on the 8th day, then nothing for 6 days more and on the 14th day another 20% and now i'm still only at 758ppm calcium. I'm going back to my once per week 10% changes and just ride it out. I lost a big nice bubble coral, lost a goniapora, losing a chalice, my toadstool leather maybe not make it through, everything else bounced back after a few days. I think all in all will only lose about 5-10% of my corals. lost a few snails.

What product were you dosing?

Were there fish in the tank?

Reason for asking is pondering if all of these effects were from calcium, or possibly from impurities in it that reached a toxic dose level.

My calcium was slowly increased to 900 over 3 weeks.
My fish are also fine. Interesting note. I lost a few Gonis and a few zoanthids. I'm a week in with water changes I'm down to 740.
