Anyone know why the internal PH on my Calcium reactor would change on its own, to the right of the graph you'll notice its not like the rest, I have made zero changes to anything on the reactor, the CO2 tank is full, bubble rate hasn't changed. Effluent rate hasn't changed but the internal PH is different not sure why? Any insight would be helpful

I would check the pump to make sure its not clogged you can easily just take a look at the wattage usage instead of taking it apart but it should stay pretty consistent other somewhere the flow rate through your reactor has changed which will make the PH fluctuate the way it has. Also you may want to lower the PH in your reactor, at the higher PH you're running its going to be more acidic coming from the effluent. Depending on your media it generally starts to melt at a PH of 6.7

Thanks Ill take a look at the pump as far as the PH setpoint it keep my alk stable at 7.7-7.9 I only adjust the PH to adjust the amount of alk im putting the tank I dont ever touch the effluent or the bubble rate i found it too difficult to tune that was so now I just change the PH in the reactor to adjust my alk if I need to which i dont very often.

Yeah, getting the reactor dialed in can be a tad bit daunting but keep in mind as your corals grow you will need to make those minor adjustments.. I recently had to increase my effluent because my tank ph dropped to 7 and cal was at 385ppm so every so often you will need to make those adjustments..

I did get the left side of graph when my needle valve was of poor quality but changed to the right side when I put a better quality one on

Most likely the change of the Valve and you are much better off with the way it is running now as the swing is much slower and your Solenoid will last much longer.

You are not controlling the solenoid with your PH controller (or apex). If so, then stop and tune it by hand.

It can also go up and down a bit during the daily cycle since the input at night has a lower PH than the input during the day. My goes in at 8.35 in the day and 8.05 at night.
