My tank total volume is around 168 gallons, sps heavy, Was wondering that a calc reactor of 180 gallons is suitable or are calc reactors like skimmers over doing it (size wise) is better? such as a calc reactor for 325 gallons but turned down? debating which calc reactor to purchase thank you. Vertex RX-4 or Vertex RX-6 DUO

The function of a calc rx isn't affected by size. The melting of the media occurs the same. The bigger the reactor the less often you have to open it to add more media.
