I switched to Jaebo dosing pumps 2 months ago for dosing 2 part. I calibrated both dosing pumps and everything was fine for a while. I took a 2 week vacation and noticed the calcium was being used up faster. So now I tested and came up with calcium 500+ with red sea(Maybe 700+ because I used a full syringe and another half before the color changed). And 6.5 Alkalinity. I have Sps, Lps and anemones and it all looks great. Should I just stop dosing the calcium and test daily until it falls back into range? Other suggestions? My Alk was running at 8.5 consistantly before this.

Magnesium 1450

I got in the same situation like u too. But I’m using Ca Reactor. I tune the reactor to really minimal and start adding Alk manually to try and bring the alk back up. Mine is a mix tank with sps lps anemone too. Everything currently is looking good so I’m just going to keep monitoring.

This seems like a reasonable solution, but you'll have to figure out why the numbers got out of sync in the first place. A second test kit to rule out testing error wouldn't be a bad idea. Have you tested both pumps to verify they're dosing the amount you expect? Are you dosing equal amounts of both per day?

It ended up that the calcium was being dosed more. So I'm leaving the calcium off and only dosing alk. The calcium is coming down so that's good. So I guess I will recalibrate the jaebo and keep a close eye on it once I start dosing again
