I have found that liquid 2 part is meant to keep levels stable or raise them a tiny bit, get a dry two part for big increases that's MHO

With a 29 cube you won't need to dose much, especially with a newer tank that isn't fully stocked. KH should be in the 8-9 range, Ca is fine with levels you mentioned. You might not even need to dose Mg depending on your salt and water change frequency. Get some decent test kits( salifert) and test daily to find out what you need to dose to compensate for your tanks swings.

Read the bottles for how much per gallon, and dose two different times of day, or even different days.. .. calc ..alk separate.. and it is good to put them even in different areas of the tank... and shake them up before use.

When calc and alk get together they "cancel' each other. So, you must dose both. Your testing will vary a little depending on which you dosed last.

If everything else is right it will come around nicely.

DKH of 8 is exactly balanced with Ca 420 and IMO nothing wrong with that, in fact that is where I strive to keep my tank. I'm less than a year into the hobby so take that for what you will.
