I am brand new to the reefing community and I made a grave mistake with my test reading. I read results backwards. Now that I have figured out what was wrong my calcium and magnesium are well off the charts on the high side. I have done a 25% water change and a 50% water change with in two weeks. My readings this morning are even higher than they were. Alkalinity is slightly high but my other levels are good: Ph: 8.0, Ammonia: 0, Nitrite: 0, Nitrate: 0. Is there something I can add to reduce the calcium and magnesium? Does something in the tank need to deplete it or will it naturally dissipate over time? Please help! I want to get this right before I introduce livestock.
