Calcium and Magnesium-test kits

Hello,

I am using Salifert for these two but I am not satisfied when it comes to scooping out the powder mix. I see inconsistency- though maybe a small impact.
Any test kits out there without a powder form included?

Those little spoons do suck, agreed. lol
Slight variations shouldn't impact a tank negatively.
Either way most regents come with some form of powder. I found Nyos magnesium to be the easiest and most consistent, IMO. I still and will always use Salifert for Calcium.

It does! In fact the test kit is designed the exact same. I guess easiest is kind of subjective. What I liked more about the Nyos kit is the quality of bottles and syringes and the instructions are easy with quick guides in case you forget.

I only test magnesium if parameters aren't stable. So testing is far and few between.

I do test calcium with salifert and almost always perform the "half test" or "100 test method"

The exact measure of the solids is unimportant. They are present in excess in the reaction.
