hi guys, Im having issues with My calcium levels, a few weeks ago I start to notice that my sps stop growing and I made some test : kh stays stable at 8, Mg at 1300 but Calcium stays at 220, I decided to make a water change with red sea pro but the calcium didn’t go up. Should I make another big water change? Or Could I make a big dose of calcium to raise it ?

Thanks for your help

How are you checking your calcium level? Are you sure that the testing is accurate? I would take a water sample to the LFS and have them test it as well, just to rule out testing problems.

You might want to get a second opinion on that CA level before you do anything drastic.

Double check your salinity as well. Lower salinity can cause lower calcium levels as well. I agree with others, have it double checked at LFS. Remember SPS likes stability, if they aren’t happy, something has changed.

Sadly there is not LFS in my country, I have to buy everything online and shiped to colombia

Calcium cannot decline with alkalinity stable, unless you are dosing alk and not calcium.

You sure you are not reading the kits backwards?

Try them on the new Red Sea Pro. It should be very high in calcium.
