I collected some NSW and added calcium to match my tank parameters, everything else matches. My calcium is 420 and the nsw was 380, I either got my measurement or calculation wrong as my NSW now is measuring at 550.

I have 60 litres of nsw and my tank is a reefer 250 that has a gross volume of 244 litres, what difference would it make my tank and would there be any adverse effects? My tank and the NSW alk measures 7.7dKH.

Would I be wrong to say that doing a 25% water change would increase my calcium to 463? Or does it not work like that?

Just for clarity as I was rushing the original post. The nsw was 380 so I added calcium solution from Randy Holmes recipe 1 to increase the Ca to 420, however I made an error and overdoses to 550.
