FWIW, you can use any amount of water you want to, but the above recipes allow the use of online calculators (link below) for dosing amounts to give specific calcium boosts or to match alk dosing.

I clicked them - even entered information. But my interpretation is this is the amount needed to raise to the desired level - but how does that translate to total mL per day?

Addressed in the other thread.

3785 (gallon in ml) / 500 (Calcium Chloride in grams) = 7.57 ml per 1 gram.

Amount of grams to dose * 7.57 = amount of supplement to dose.

P.S: I have no idea why you guys mix imperial with metric here.
Either use liters or switch everything to oz/foz/pounds/feet/hands/limbs/tongues :zany-face:

See - that doesn't make sense to me - for example, my result is "94.3 grams; 3.3 oz; approx 18.8 tsp" for my calcium calc.

So - do I translate grams to mL to dose per day? I feel like there is something super obvious I am missing.

No, ignore that and just continue in the other thread. Way too confusing to have two at once.
