Calcium Drop

Ive been monitoring my Parameters for 2 weeks everyday. Finally got my Alk stable and found my dosing amount. I never had a big swing in Calcium but my i checked it this morning it was at 440 and after work (8 hours later) it dropped to 380. Should i manually dose and check in a few hours? whats the max i can manually dose calcium?

I don't see how your calcium could drop that much in that little time. You need to retest and maybe have lfs verify your test results.

Unless you have a tank full of mature SPS, it didn't drop that much, I'd check that test kit out.

If you've been dosing alk then you may have been driving calcium down. Test multiple times to make sure you can repeat your numbers before dosing any calcium. 380 isn't bad.

Ok so i tested it it 2 more times and confirmed 380. All last week tested everyday at 440-460.

I have actually stocked up on more SPS. id say about 6 SPS frags last week. 10 Ricordias from ASD, 1 jawbreaker this week. could this have dropped the calcium in such short period of time?

i replaced the kalk in my reactor and manually dosed 1 ml right now. also increased my repetitive Calcium dosing an extra 2ml to a day start. Is that too low?
