Hello,

I would like to cure old life rocks, can I use Calcium hypochlorite? It should be same as bleach no?

How much of this product would you use and how long should the stones stay inside? Will it clean phosphate deposit also?
Should I do something special other than rinse them with water after the bath with this product!

You do not need anything stronger than bleach, and most people dilute bleach somewhat anyway.
Agreed. Is it even true that calcium hypochlorite is stronger than bleach?

I think the basis of that claim is that it comes as a solid that you dissolve yourself. People who sell it for pools tout the effective concentration of chlorine in the solid vs in liquid bleach, which seems a pretty misleading comparison:

"There are many chemical advantages to cal hypo. Cal hypo contains approximately 65 percent chlorine as compared to the 12 percent that is typical in liquid bleach. "

So I did it, it worked very well all coralline.. That was on the stones is not more. The stones seems to be very clean.
But how can I get ride of the chlorine odor? I let them already two days in water and change the water a few times but the smell is still here. Their is a solution?
If I use a few of them for start a new tank, they can cause trouble or not?

You can use Seachem Prime to instantly remove chlorine. :)
