My tanks calcium is 580ppm. I dose limewater on a doser. If i dose just baking soda for a few months (to lower calcium) and dont do water changes will it be bad?
 
Im worried sodium will rise too much. I dose approximately 500 ml of limewater per day.
 
Unless your Mg is high you will probably get a lot of precip and it will come down quicker than you think. The amount of Na already there is so much greater than what you will be adding. It should not be a problem.

There’s no concern about sodium rising too much in this context. It’s huge to begin with and you aren’t adding much.
