Calcium into kalk stirrer

I had a brain wave idea yesterday to help my PH it was 7.8 to 7.9. I decided to run my calcium reactor into my kalk wasser stirrer to help combat the low PH that comes out of it, 24 hours later my tanks turned a little milky looking. Any idea what happened?

Have you checked your calcium levels? Sounds like its causing some type of precipitation.

I thought this would work fine. Anybody try this? Is the low PH from my DaStaco calcium reactor (6.0 PH) Reacting to the Kalk?

Simple answer is that's a bad idea. The calcium carbonate you dissolved in the low pH of the reactor just precipitated back out again in the high pH of the limewater.

Simple answer is that's a bad idea. The calcium carbonate you dissolved in the low pH of the reactor just precipitated back out again in the high pH of the limewater.

And any excess CO2 in the calcium reactor effluent will react with the calcium in the Kalk reactor to also form insoluble CaCO2.
