I put this product in my tank appropriately (apparently not). When I put the supplement in the tank was fine, crystal clear. I got home from school and my whole tank was cloudy. I thought it was my Leopard Wrasse digging a burrow but it kept staying cloudy and still is. I read a couple of forums about people with the same problem. People said if my pH was under 8.6 I don't have to worry and that the cloudiness should go away in a few days. My pH reading was 8.3. Is this information valid if not elaborate.

Probably a bacterial boom or blossom. Literally happened to me about two weeks ago, right after I dosed calcium too. Wen. Away about 3-5 days later. I guess it happens a lot...

So just wait it out? All my fish and corals aren't disturbed at all so I'm not that worried.

I"ve never seen any problems with having excess calcium or mag. Its good business to keep all 3 in line (dkh, cal, mag). If it was me I would run a small amount of carbon if your not it will clear it up. If your other params are in check you should be fine. If there not do a small wc to balance it out.

If you test and find that your calc is way high you can dose some extra alk it will bind with that calc and bring it down.

What is your calcium and alk?

Should I test everything or just calcium and alkalinity?

It sounds to me like you reached super saturation levels of calcium and you caused your carbonates to fall out of the water...Better check your ALK. and make sure its within range...

Test your calcium, alk, and magnesium...one is probably high and the other two low. If this is the case you will need to slowly bring up the other two over a period of several days.

Well the reason I put the calcium supplement is too lower my alkalinity.
