A buddy of mine has been talking about adding a second reactor to his calcium reactor, since the ph is set for 6.5 in the calcium reactor, then when it comes out, of course it is lower than what we want to keep our tanks at. He said that by adding a second reactor you can raise the ph back up so when it hits the tank it is more on the side we want our tanks to be at. I would like some feed back on this idea??
Thanks & Happy Reefing!!

Adding a second chamber does not really change the net acid input to the tank much (which ONLY depends on the total CO2 added to the tank) even if the pH of the effluent is higher. But what it does do is make more efficient use of the added CO2, so one may see a reasonably small rise in tank pH, assuming you dial back the CO2 addition somewhat to maintain the same alkalinity.
