Hey guys! I’m looking for some help with cloudy water issues. This is a fairly new tank just a little over a month old. I have had tanks in the past and never had this issue. All tank inhabitants seem extremely healthy. This has basically been going on since I started the tank and has not improved. I took the best pictures I could. Basically it looks like a white rolling fog in the tank. Hopefully some one has a few ideas!

Bacteria growth is another possibility for white cloudy water.

I realize that as well. Could the bacterial bloom last this long? Trying to mainly find out what this is. It doesn't seem to be harming any thing so I'm not extremely stressed out about it but would like to find a solution.

Only thing I could think of is not rinsing the chemipure enough before putting it in the sump maybe? An or bad batch on filter roller matting? Could pull either and I’d do a test for yourself in a clear cup to see what happens?

Has it been like this for a month? If you aren’t concerned, do nothing. Things like this can resolve on their own.

I actually just installed both of those about 5 days ago in hopes that at least the skimmer would clear up "the fog". Before that I was running skimmer less and even put on a 5 micron filter sock to see if it would resolve it and there was no change.

Yes it has been exactly like this basically from day one. I agree I am leaning more towards doing nothing and seeing if it will go away. I'm really trying to avoid doing something drastic and I don't want to do that either.
