Calcium raise?

I have not dosed my tank in probably a month now and my calcium has actually gone up is that possible?

Whats the test kit? Have you double checked it with anothter kit? Or LFS test?

I tested it with the Red Sea test kit and I also usually use the API test but I didn't get to test it with the API

Calcium will not rise without you adding some somehow, but test kit errors are super common, and that is almost certainly the explanation if you have not added any.

How much did it seem to rise?

From 440 to 490

That would be test error, if you did not add any or do a big water change with a high calcium mix.

I use to do a 5 gallon water change but seeing how my nitrates were high I have been doing 15 gallon water changes

FWIW, a water change with normal Instant Ocean wouldn't boost your calcium.
