All,

My calcium reactor (Geo 618 with AP carbon doser) is plumbed via my manifold and I maintain a high effluent of over 100ml per minute.

My issue is when my return pump is turned off then back on, my effluent does not start flowing again at turn on.

I have to close the manifold ball valve then re-open it for flow to resume. It's like there's back pressure.

Not a big deal for now, but worried that if My APEX shuts off the return for any reason, the CARX wont work till I manually fix it.

How do yall prevent this? What is the cause?

Yeah, maybe back pressure. Perhaps if you wait for the pump to stabilize, flow through the CaRx will resume? Running off a manifold is an imperfect solution though. I avoid problems by not doing it :D

Talking to a local reefer, he mentioned that my co2 shouldn't run when my return pump shuts off.

Currently co2 outlet is dependent solely on the ph in my reactor.

I'm gonna try to program my Apex to shut it off when my return pump turns off. Crossing my fingers but I'm guessing this solves it.

This worked. Didnt know I needed my co2 and circulation pump shut down when the return pump turned off.
