Calcium reactor and zeomag

I just ordered my first calcium reactor. Geo 618 and was wondering about adding zeomag. I was going to add 10% of my media volume. My question is do you mix it with the regular media or do you just put it on the top?

Hey OP! I've never used ZEOmag an I have no idea how other Reefers might mix this stuff in their calcium reactors or if they like how it works? Do you still use this @lacrosseboss18?

Does anybody out there have an answer to this May 17 2016 question?

Curious what is in ZEOmag?

Is it pure Magnesium Carbonate or is it Dolomite which is Calcium Magnesium Carbonate?

Ok, will try ZeoMag.

I need something that will actually dissolve in my reactor. NeoMag isn't cutting it.

i run 2 reactors big calcium reactor at ph=6.5 and a small magnesium reactor at ph=6. never had good results with mg till i seperated them.

supposedtly the zeomag melts at the same ph but not sure they dont say whats in it.

Recommend folks read the pH warning from the comments onr BRS link. Seems that the pH will rise inside the calc reactor for a few days? Seems like that could impact reactor output?
