Would it be a good idea to use a coralife calcium reactor as a gfo phosphate reactor? Ive got a new one sitting around

I would say not for GFO..
GFO works best when fluidized.
Even if the reactor has a pump, the water volume thru the reactor likely wouldn't bring the phosphate down in your system..
But, I have never tried this method so I could be way off...

Okay thanks. That was my concern too its probably not a good idea.

I don't run GFO except in an emergency.
My skimmer and bio blocks do the trick for me..

I run it as soon as my corals arent growing

Hmm..
A sure sign of phosphate is algae not necessarily stunted growth on corals..
What are your other parameters?

All my parameters are great

0po4 hanna and salifert 0no3. 420 calcium, 11dkh alk, 1250mag, salinity 35-36ppt, potassium 400

It just depends how long foods in the tank

Undetectable :)

If i could remove all the algae id have a po4/no3 problem probably, as they use it up. I also dose vodka

Well.. Seems to me you have a ULNS which is likely what is stunting or killing your corals..
I would try to bring your traits up to 5-20 ppm..
You might be surprised at the results..:D
