Im having a few issues with my Effluent flow not staying consistent .... i am currently feeding my reactor off of a manifold from my return pump and using a small dialed gate valve ( instead of just a lever ) to control my effluent flow rate , evry once in a while this flow rate will slow .... i open the valve slightly to " clean " it and try to get the flow rate back to where i had it .... what is the best way to fix this issue ? i know a peristaltic pump to feed the reactor would be best but will this also keep the effluent steady as well ? if so does this need to do the same thing ( up the flow to flush the line ) ? And i have head different story's about the tubing of these pumps going bad quick ??

Thanks

For a while I ran an r/o prefilter with a plastic automotive fuel filter screen before my ball valve. It pretty much eliminated that issue but I did have to replace that filter every few months.
