I have a CR140 Reef Octopus calcium reactor with an OTP2000 pump. The pump stopped working. These pumps are junk. I would like to install a different pump on it without having to spend crazy amount of money. My question is, what pump do you guys recommend? I could make any pump fit. I have the fittings to make pretty much any pump work, I just need to know what pump is recommended. I already have a few pumps laying around. I have an eheim 1262, mag drive 3, 5, 7, 9, and 18. Or is there a better pump recommended? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Have you looked at the Mag-drive pumps, I hear they are really popular. For fitting a new pump on there I am not sure, maybe someone else knows. #reefsquad

I've used a mag 9 on my 60 (as a return) for 2 years straight, never had to clean it or adjust it, it was super solid and quiet. I have a eheim 1250 pump and it's solid, I did have to replace the shaft eventually, I've heard great things about the eheim 1262. If you know Bill Wann, his ca reactors use the eheim 1262 pump. The reason I use him as an example is he uses very high quality equipment/materials in all of his builds.

This is my experience, between the eheim and the Mag, I would pick the Mag.
