Calcium Reactor help

looking to pick up a skimz internal reactor..is it necessary to run a ph controller I have a spare ph monitor but no controller..couldn't I just monitor the reactor?

With no controller, one needs the right combination of continuous CO2 injection and a constant effluent discharge rate. Even then, the continually decreasing amount of media will cause a continual change in the pH of the effluent, thus requiring adjustments.

A lot of work, but I suppose some people do it. A controller makes life so much easier.

ok.. I'm setting up a 150 would a 300 gal rated reactor be sufficient.. all new to me a former 2 part/ kalk doser guy
