So i setup my calcium reactor last Friday and my calcium tested at 375 on that day.

I set the PH at 6.6 and I started slow with double what i was told (1 drip a second) because i needed to raise my levels. My tank is also really big at a 1200 gallon system.

After 3 days i wasnt seeing alot of improvement so i opened it up to a small stream.

Then after another few days to wide open. My calcium isnt testing much higher at all.

Should i dose to get it up to where I want and then use the reactor to keep it there?
How long should it take to make a dent on a system this big.

Yes. Calcium reactor to maintain levels. Dose to get levels where you want
If your ca reactor is running and your levels are staying constant and not dropping that is good.
Just dose to get your ca/all where you want it and your ca reactor at it's current setting should maintain it
