I've had a calcium reactor in my warehouse for 2 years with media in it. I'm getting ready to use it on my new build. Do I need to buy new media? If I use same media do i rinse with anything?

^ what he said.

But before anything let me ask you something.

Has it been used before? If so, I would take out EVERYTHING rinse it thoroughly and be sure to remove all the sludge on the bottom of the tank.

Dont be a cheapskate. You ask cause your concerned. If your concerned then just buy new stuff!!!

It doesn't cost much for a new bag of media. 20 bucks should cover you for a year if not little more.

Use it again Josh, or clean it and throw it in the sump. Great for collecting detritus and pods.
