Calcium reactor magnesium Q

Would adding more magnesium media in my reactor raise my magnesium level?if so is it recommended vs. Adding a supplement,,would like to raise mag to 1400

I think dosing would be easier. Magnesium isnt depleted super quickly doesn’t need to be on a dosing pump. This element is enough to test for a little while, find your consumption and replenish weekly or monthly depending on your tank.

What Garth said. Many people like to add magnesium media to their reactors, and that's a fine way to go. But there's no reason that you can't supplement magnesium with the magnesium part of a two/three part system.

I was wondering if more media =higher levels??will supplement manually either way
