Calcium reactor media affected by water volume?

I'm setting up my old Geo 618 I had from my 180g acro tan now on my 75g sps tank. I'm thinking with my smaller tank size that I will just run 1/2 the media in the reactor. A friend asked in the added water volume in the reactor would dilute the media quicker. I figure the ph level effects the media and the volume wouldn't come into play but I'd like to double check before hooking it up that way. I'm also running a secondary chamber with the smaller particle TLF rebourne to help dissolve excess co2. Its a 4x18 PM chamber.

I've got a decent amount of small acro frags in there. My current uptake is 40ml ESV bionic 2 part. Equal parts calcium and alkalinity.

It all comes into play.
I would agree that Ph is more of a factor than actual water volume.
 
Demand for minerals isn't really a function of volume, but demand. Depends on how you aquascape the tank. Assuming the demand is half, then there are a few ways to reduce the amount the CaRx is adding, Additional open volume inside the reactor will make no difference.
 
Maybe I don't understand the issue, but I don’t think the volume of media will change the effluent potency. I think the only difference you will run into will be the frequency that you add media. If you need less slow down the amount of effluent that gets to the reef.
 
My thinking is: if there is more surface area for the co2 to react to, then you get a more potent output per co2 used. Im sure this is a wash after a certain point. 1 chunk of media vs many chunks. Also with I chunk you might get a lot of un-used co2 that gets sent out the output tube.
