Hello reefers,

I currently run Neptune dos for calcium and alkalinity! I’ve been thinking about getting a calcium reactor but not sure if I should switch up for more stable readings. As I would like to start growing sps! Any help would be great.

Before you start to grow SPS, it is a good timing to switch to Ca reactor. It need time to run-in and get familiar with the tuning of CO2 and fluent.

Calcium reactor is a bit of a learning curve and initial investment but once correctly assembled and tuned it is nearly 99% hands off and easy to run. It’s also the most natural and balanced supplementing method, supplying not only a balanced amount of calcium and alkalinity. But perfect proportions of most minor elements as well. There are other liquid additive methods that can achieve similar results but are going to be ALOT more busy work and constant cost (like triton, ATI, or balling methods)
