Does calcium reactor output have to go to skimmer inlet area?

My kamoer STP pump isn't sucking effectively from far end of sump if input tube is 4 feet long... So I made it 15 inch long and sucking from skimmer area...

In this case I wanna extend outlet by 3 feet so it's draining far away from input area....

Pic attached. Right now current setup is it's sucking in from skimmer area, and outlet is in skimmer area. Is this ok? Tank is doing great. Alk steady 8 dkh...

Pls lmk THX

Bump..

I read that effluent should be near the skimmer but my real question is can I suck in water into the calcium reactor from the display tank or from a calm location in the sump far away from skimmer?

Quite a picture there.. =)

I don't think the output of the CaRX matters much as long as it quickly mixes. My tuning gives me a medium drops/min so nothing to be concerned with in dropping into the return section. I did notice that when I had it upstream of my probes that the pH readings would be lower due to the lower pH effluent. So drop it down stream and let it quickly mix and distribute.
