Anyone familiar with this pump? Will it work for the pumping of effluent from the reactor? I am trying to gauge whether or not it can pump as little or as much that may be needed..

Yes they are good pumps . Plenty of control , you can use small or large tubing to create any flow that you need .You would want to push water through reactor.

Curious why you suggest pushing vs pulling through? Trying to figure this out myself. Thanks.

Most reactors are made to push water through there unit. I have always' used this method. Check the instructions on the unit that you are using.

I think it makes very little difference. I personally prefer to use my masterflex to pull the effluent as the peri tubing clogs less frequently. It's pretty hard to clog up the reactor so that's not really an issue; particularly if you run it upflow.

Push or pull how does the Reactor know the difference ?

Although I imagine your question was largely rhetorical; the answer of course it that it doesn't!

Really was just a curiosity for me. I had planned to pull through the reactor once I get the peristaltic pump. Until then, I'll keep pushing water into the unit via return manifold. It's slightly cumbersome, but it's worked out ok for the most part. Will be nice to eliminate the needle valve altogether though... it's annoying when they get clogged.
