I am in the process of setting up my new GEO calcium reactor and built a little stand for it as you can see below to raise it off the floor. I am second guessing whether or not the reactor should be raised up from the floor or not now to avoid potential siphons and air issues.

My tank / sump are located on the opposite side of the wall and sump will be lower than the height of the reactor. I will be using a kamoer to pull through the reactor and up into the remote fuge next to the left of the calcium reactor / secondary chamber.

If the dosing pump shuts down, the water will drain from the incoming line from sump back into sump from the looks of it and then not siphon anymore because it comes off the tallest point in the reactor I would think correct?

Will the air pocket created release air into the reactor when it is restarted every time?
Probably being overly cautious here but wanted to make sure before I go too far with getting this up and running if I need to change things up.

Thank you!

Thanks guys! I appreciate the help. I’ve never had a calcium reactor before so I wanted to make sure. Just have to fire it up and figure it out haha.

Still need to figure out converting my ORP probe to a PH probe on the Apex and get some safeties in place and we should be ready to go.

I like where you have it. Mine is under stand at sump and I have the intake in one chamber and drip at return pump
