I don't have a clue about Calcium reactors, I do know that Iam dosing my tank daily with Seachem Reef builder and using a Reef Octopus KS100 Kalk Stirrer to keep up. Who sells that reactor? I saw a old post back from 2013 about a Geo Reefs Reactor.Happy with my MTC Procal and I roughly have 300 gallons between my display and my frag tank. It took me 3 other CaRXs to realize this one is awesome.![]()

Just got of the phone with the gentleman there, super nice to talk to. How long have you had that reactor? Can you give me some more input, about how it works, things you like and dislike about it? ThanksMTC. Marine Technical Concepts.
Easily known for its reliability and easy to replace parts if it has an issue. The gentlemen you spoke with is the one that hand builds it. He is always happy to troubleshoot any of his units, no matter how old it is or if you were the original purchaser.Just got of the phone with the gentleman there, super nice to talk to. I try to keep my dkh at 9, it usually drops to 8.7 daily. You think Iam ready for a Calcium Recator, or should I wait for a larger demand from my system? I am looking for stability, plus if I have to be away from my tank, that my dkh won't bottom out on me.Easily known for its reliability and easy to replace parts if it has an issue. Its just reliable, bottom line. Effluent stays the same and the CO2 is easily incorporated. The built-in flow guage is nice and the secondary chamber for degassing is a plus too.
Some people use two-part dosers as an option as well but I prefer a CaRX. Once you need to start supplementing, its really up to you when you want to implement either option.I try to keep my dkh at 9, it usually drops to 8.7 daily.
