Hello All, I have a 120 with a 30 gallon sump and am looking for a cal reactor but have no experience with this at all. Tank is mixed reef and has been running for about two years. We would like to add more sps in the near future. Dosing now and I think we would like the consistency a Calcium Reactor would offer.

Thanks

Geo 612 or 618 OR Reef Octopus version

Geo is very solid and with a carbon doser regulator and quality peristaltic pump is great. I currently run the newer Deltec Twin Tech which is similar to Dastaco and love it.

Sounds like most prefer the GeoReef, what all is needed besides the reactor to ensure success?
I have a Versa pump I dose Alk with now so if I am thinking correctly, I should be able to use it.
What would be a good regulator for the CO2?

Thanks

I run a Tunze 3171 with Tunze media. 3171 requires no feed pump.
I run an ADA 2 stage regulator with needle valve and clippard mouse solenoid.
Solenoid stays on unless power goes out.
No ph meter or controller.

Although I have never used one because they are new the Versa pump should work fine. A pedi pump for continuous use is a must. The Carbon Doser regulator is the one (and many others) recommend. They are more expensive but more than worth it. If you go with a cheaper regulator you WILL regret it...believe me!!
