So, right now I am running my PH set points in the reactor at 6.3-6.7 and flow of 35mls. This isn’t keeping up with the demand in my tank.

So, do I increase the effluent flow rate or do I lower my PH set point? I was worried if I lowered my PH set point any further my media will just turn to mush.

Picture of tank currently.

If you open to tuning the reactor to run 24/7 and not being controlled by a pH controller, then I can help. Some people are not interested in this. Tuning it and forgetting about the pH controller is more efficient and will handle demand better. If you are OK with this, then test your effluent dKh and check back.

I have used both ways in the past. Back in the day we never used a controller just relied on testing the tank water. My calc went to over 500ppm so was thinking of giving a controller a go again which would make controlling the output of my calc reactor easier or at least should do.Not the be or end all of course but would make controlling the calcium reactor that little bit easier.
